Hello
Well this week was much better. We worked really hard and actually found some results. This week went by pretty fast. I hope that this week was good for all of you guys too.

So this week we got some money from a member because she didn’t have time to feed us. So we went to Carls Jr. it was pretty good. I got a double western meal. Then the next day we had a really gross meal and I got food poisoning from some ketchup that was over its time limit. Saturday night I was in the bathroom all night throwing up and with diarrhea. Lame. One of my goals down the drain. I wanted to go through my whole mission with out puking. I made it almost 14 months which I think is a pretty good success.

So this week was Easter. It was cool. The mexis go all out for this week. In iztapalapa they have a live representation of the crucifixion and this guy dresses up and carrys the cross through the street and everything. We had a pretty good Easter. We had a baptism. Marisol got baptized and it was a really good service.

Today we just relaxed and washed the clothes. So the Pads are doing great. That is awesome. I think Ekstein is really what we needed a fast energetic lead off guy. I hope you all have a good week and keep in touch.

Hola family and friends,

So this week was good and bad at the same time. Ill start with the good.

So I really liked conference. It was pretty direct and that’s what we really need here in Mexico cuz the people just don’t seem to get it. Hopefully they were paying attention. Probably not. I really liked how the speakers really focused on the Atonement and Faith. That’s what we have been focusing on in the zone meatings. Its cool to see that President Doxey really knows whats up and recives revelation for us missionaries.

We had zone conference on Friday morning. It was cool. I saw E. Glenn , E. BAmgartner, E. Smeadly ,and E. Loser. Elder loser and bam are zone leaders. It was cool to see them and hang out for a bit. President Doxey talked about working with faith and if we don’t work with faith then we wont recive all of the blessings that the Lord has prepared for us or our investigators.

So Marisol came to conference on Saturday and really liked it. She has a baptismal date for this Sunday. Keep her and us in your prayers. I think that she is pretty ready and feels the need to recive a baptism. We are going to help her move her haircutting stuff today so she can start cutting hair in her house.

So this week was pretty hard as far as the work goes. We had lots of activities that took up allot of time but the time that we had we worked hard and contacted lots of people. But no one wanted anything. We didn’t find any new people. It is pretty frustrating but I know that the Lord will really help us out this week if we keep on keepen on.
My health is good. Im getting along better with my comp and we are working hard. I love you guys and hope that everything is going well. The church is true. God is our loving Heavenly Father and He wants us all to return to Him with our Families. ONLY through the true gospel of Jesus Christ (faith, repentance, baptism by immersion, and the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and ENDURING TO THE END) can we reach this goal and return to live with our loving Heavenly Father.

Mom and g-ma/pa: thanks for the packages. Im set for a while. Don’t send me packages until Christmas cuz they are expensive and it would be better if I could use the money to buy you guys gifts and suveniers. Ok? Love ya

so i had a big email and it got deleted so that sucks.

im doing good. love ya lots. me and my comp are getting along well. we have lots of work to do in finding people and helping out the ward. we played soccer today. it was fun.

so an up and down week again. but things have changed with me and my cmop. he is way more willing to work and accepts who i am ( which i know is a pretty hard thing to do hehehe). but ya things have gotten way bvetter between us. THANKS ALOT for all of your prayers. i really can feel them. thanks for writing. i love you guys.

so im better and dont have ecoli anymore. the meds the doc gasve me worked like a charm. now im doing good and am at 100 percent.

so thihs week i thought i saw MR Bible. i got excited and then i remembered that i was in mexico and that mr bible died over a year ago. o well. it got me excited for a second or two. hehehe

so this week we had a baptism on friday. this lady is way cool and has so much faith. but the lame thing is that no one came to her baptism. there was one member that came. yup ONE. they announced it like 3 times and no one came. i think she got sad but she was really excited to get baptized. then on sunday she didnt come to church to get comfirmed. that shocked us. we have to go by thias week to se whats up.

so we had changes and we are both staying which means that i will probably be here for 6 months. cuz after this change the district leader goes home. so i might jump up for two changes. who knws.

today im going to play pool with smeadly and his comp. ill take some pics.

mom: have you been moving mony in my acount cuz i keep getting emails saying i have had transactions im worried that someone is filtering mony from my account. let me know.

fam. : so the docter investigator that we have livd a year in Oaxaca studdying. and she says that it is way sweet and there are a bunch of virgin beaches and that if you guys want we can go with her and her family to Oaxaca for a week or two. are you down? i shure am. virgin beaches with the best waves in Mexico. why not? she is willing to drive us down there. they have a new suburban.

Bad Fish gone bad!

hey peeps,
so sounds like the last week was pretty good for you guys. im glad it was for some. this week was pretty hard for me.

so the bad fish i ate gave me a bug called e-coli. so good thing we have a invetigator who is a doctor. she gave me meds and now im good to go. ok funny storie about that.

so we get home to go to the bathroom and my comp goes first. right when he got in i got the biggest erge to go number 2. i didnt know what to do cuz my comp always takes forever i couldent wait. so i got a bucket and did my thing in the bucket in the living room. haha im sure if this would have happend before the mission i would have not told a soul. but now that im on the mission i have lost all of my pride and dont really care. i think its a funny storie and im not emabarassed. what a change the mission has had on me. hehe.

so this week my comp has been extra lazy. he has no desires to work. he dosnt get up on time. and he hates me. yup its true. i had some susspections but now i know. he gave me a note that told me how he cant stand me and that even hearing my voice makes him sick. well i have tried so hard to make things work from the verry first day i have tried a million diffrent ways to treat him and none seem to work. so this week was way bad. i worked basically alone with an angry shadow of a comp. but im trying my best and im not going to let him get me down. changes are coming up at the end of this week so we will se what happens. keep me in your preyers

so to add the icing on the cake of a basically lame week the investigator we had to come to church for the second time ( so he could get baptized the next week) got jumped on sat night on the bus. he had to go to the doctor on sunday morning so his baptism got pushed back another week. i think this week was yet another challenge who knows when the blessings will come. but im sure they will and when they come they will be amazing.

Bad Fish

hey
so this week was up and down. so the first part of the week was really good. we found some feally good people. especially this lady with her 3 kids. she is really humble and lives in a house built out of meatal peices. we put the lesson for thursday and we went and tought about the gospel(faith, repentance, baptism, y holy ghost) and then i challenged her to be baptized along with her 3 kids. and she said yes. wow that was easy. we put the next lesson for sat and went BUT she wasnt there the gate was chained shut. we left a note and passed 2 times more that day and again on sunday but they wernt home. who knows what happend but i hope we can find them again this week.

on thursday we had zone confrence. it was cool. presidente doxey came and his wife. they are awesome. sister doxey has the spirit always and speaks with real power even if her spanish is bad. the confrence was good and i learned alot.

so friday night we ate fish with the members that gave us food. so that was not good. both me and my comp got sick and sat. we had absolutly no energy but we still left to go to our lessons and all of the lessons fell through. that was a tough day.

sunday we went to church and none of our investigators came. that was a bummer cuz one had his baptismal date for the 15th and now he wont get baptized until the 22nd. but what are you going to do. i think that this last week was a pretty good challenge for us and i hope that this week we will recive the blessings for enduring it well.

im doing well apart from the diahreah. love ya lots keep in touch and share the good word. Jesus told Peter that once he was converted that he had to share his knowledge with evryone. Luke 22:32. we have that knowledge and nothing should hold us back from sharing it with others (friends, family, neihbors or people on the street). love ya all. the church is true and true happyness comes from serving others and helping them make decisions that will change their lives and trhe lives of many more.

Dog bite and baptism

so this week was much better. we wernt really having success together cuz we had some conflicts and some lack of respect on my comps side. but this week i threw down in weekly plannign and we got all of our problems out ofthe way. and the lord helped us out and we had some success. we had a family of 4 at church for the first time,. they are way cool. we have a lot of possible baptisms for the last two weeks of the change. we will see how that goes.

so this week i got attacked by a little dog. but it was really weird. i walked past it and i thought that it was going to bite me right there but no. it waited until i got a ways past it and it ran at full speed and did a drive by attack. it wasnt really efficaint but ill give him credit for trying. i felt his head crash into me more than the bite. it was pretty funny.

so this week we were supposed to have a ward activity. we were goig to ahve a open house. we told all of the members that they should bring thier friends and we would talk to them and show them the church. so we get there and there are 4 members there and no friends or investigatiors. no one else showed up so we left without doing the activity. lame huh? this ward is really weak right now and no onwe goes to activities. so the assistance on sunday was 71. thats way low cuz about 2 years a go the ward was going to split cuz there were so many.

so mexico always has really bad smells, always- . but i figured out where most of them come from. no not the old ladys that fart without knowing it. they come from the sewer drains. evry time i walk past one i smell the worst smell i have ever smelt in my life. it smells terrible. but i have actually gotten used to it and its kind of a normal and familiar smell now.

so yesterday i was baptized in the catholic church in the street. that might sound weird, cuz it is. we were walking along the street last night. and this crazy druggy lady asked us if we had free little bibles. then she said that we were mormans and asked us to return catholics. i asked her straight up "why?" and this was her response "just do me the favor" she didnt have a reason. just because. then she said that she was going to baptize us right then. she put her hand on our head and said " i baptize you in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy ghost" i was supper surprized that she actually knew the correct words. at least she did one thing right in her completly apostate "baptism". i felt really weird after and said that she should read the pampflet we gave her. then we went home.

so i hope this week was as exciting and weird as it was for me. love ya lots. keep in touch. amor y dedos
